Ashtavinayak are considered as the holiest places of Maharashtra. The literal meaning of Ashtavinayak is “Asthma” means eight and “Vinayaka” is one of the names of Ganesha. II. Siddhivinayak Temple of Siddhatek is built on small hillock. The uniqueness of the idol is the trunk of Ganesha is positioned to the right. It is also in Pune district.

III. Ballaleshwar Temple of Pali, where God is recognized with the name of his devotee “Ballal”. This temple is located in the district of Rajgad.

IV. Varad Vinayak Temple of Mahad has provide the facility to it the devotees to enter “Garbhagriha” and offer pooja. This religious place is also in Raigad district.

V. Chintamani Temple of Theur is located in close proximity to Pune city. The deity is known as family God of Peshwe Madhav Rao.

VI. Girijatmak Temple of Lenyadri is a single Ashtavinyak temple which is placed among the Buddhist Caves. These caves are also known as “Ganesh Caves”. The holy place is located in Pune district.

VII. Vighneshwar temple of Ojhar is one more temple of Pune district. Vigneshwar temple is built by Chimaji Appa in 18th century.

VIII. Mahaganpati Temple of Ranjangaon is also located next to Pune district. Generally here Ashtavinayak yatra ends.
