Pandharpur is a significant pilgrimage place of Maharashtra. It is famous of “Kashi of South India”. Devotees of Lord Shri Vithal visit the place from Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Pandharpur is small town situated in Solapur District of Maharashtra. It is on the banks of Chandrabhaga River. The distance of Pandharpur from Pune is 210 kilometers. Marathi and Kannada are the widely spoken languages.
